Post-construction cleaning in Lodz

A flat handed over by a developer is not ready to move into. Gypsum dust is left in every crevice, protective film on the windows and profiles, adhesive residue on the floor and mortar on the sills. This is not soiling that an ordinary cleaning visit will lift.

What it costs

6 zł per square metre, with a minimum order of 200 zł. A fifty-metre flat is 300 zł, a house of a hundred and twenty metres 720 zł. Post-construction windows are counted separately at 50 zł each, because what comes off them is film, adhesive and mortar rather than dust.

Why construction dust behaves differently

It is finer than household dust, it lifts at every movement and settles again after a quarter of an hour. That is why rooms are done in a set order, from top to bottom and from the furthest point towards the exit, and the floor is washed last, as many times as it takes for the water in the bucket to stop being cloudy.

When to call the team

After the tools and waste have gone and before the furniture arrives. That is the only moment when the place is empty and everything can be reached; once the wardrobes are in place, part of the surface disappears for years.

Dust comes back, and that is normal

A day after the clean a thin layer can appear on the sills. It is not a sign of poor work: the dust keeps lifting for another day and settles gradually. With a full scope it makes more sense to order one thorough clean after the works and an ordinary visit a week later than to pay the full rate twice.

What we do not do

We do not remove rubble, bags or material packaging; that is a job for a haulage firm. We do not take dried paint off panels and parquet with caustic products, because they would destroy the surface along with the stain. We do not enter a construction site before the works are finished and we do not work at height outside the interior of the unit.

Across the whole of Lodz, including the new estates of Olechów, Janów and Nowe Centrum, and in the surrounding area. Travel is included in the price.

The order in which we work

First ceilings, light fittings and the top edges of built-in units, then walls, doors and windows, then sills and radiators, with the floor always last. A water-filter vacuum collects the dust before it can spread through the unit; working dry, the same layer comes back onto surfaces that have just been wiped.
