A flat nobody has cleaned for years is quoted differently from an ordinary job. A price list based on the number of rooms assumes a certain starting state, and here it cannot be predicted, so we work by the hour at 50 zł and say in advance how many hours are realistically needed.
We start with an assessment on site or from photos. Then we work in stages: first carrying things out to a designated place and exposing the surfaces, then the cleaning proper, and details at the end. With a large scope we send two people and plan more than one day; promising such a flat in a single visit would simply be untrue.
This kind of booking can be embarrassing for the person making it, and we are aware of that. We do not comment on the state of the flat, we do not take photos beyond those agreed and we do not talk about jobs. If you want the cleaner not to enter a particular room, they will not.
What stays and what goes. We do not make those decisions for the customer: anything uncertain is set aside in one place and we ask. It slows the work down, but the alternative, throwing away something that was meant to stay, cannot be undone.
We do not remove waste and furniture off the property; with a large volume a skip is needed, ordered by the owner. We do not carry out fumigation or ozonation, we do not do pest or rodent control, and we do not remove mould from walls where the cause is damp in the masonry. We do not clean after incidents requiring public health services.
In such flats carpets and upholstery are often the main source of the smell. Extraction cleaning is quoted separately: carpet 10 zł per square metre, sofa 140 zł, mattress from 70 zł, with a minimum order of 120 zł. Sometimes it is more honest to say that a piece is fit only for disposal, and we say it.
Across the whole of Lodz and the surrounding area. Travel is included in the price.
A two-room flat in genuinely bad condition is usually two days' work for two people. The amount therefore rises to several hundred zloty and it is better to know that at the start than to find out midway, which is why we always give a range before the first visit rather than after it.
After a description and photos we give an hourly range. The final amount follows from the actual working time.
For larger jobs yes, before the date is set.
At the first visit yes, since somebody has to decide about the belongings.
