We clean carpets and fitted carpets at the customer's place, with an extraction machine, at 10 zł per square metre. Nothing is taken to a plant. All the work happens in the flat or the office, and after the visit the carpet is left damp rather than wet.
The minimum order is 120 zł, which is twelve square metres. Below that a second item is added, most often an armchair at 50 zł or a mattress.
A carpet can be lifted and worked from both sides; a fitted carpet glued to the floor cannot. All the dirt has to come out through the top, through the pile, and the moisture has no way of evaporating from below. That is why with fitted carpet it matters far more how much water stays in the material, and why we work with an extractor rather than a shampooer.
A carpet takes four to eight hours with the window open, a fitted carpet six to ten. Thick pile and a cool room can stretch that to a full day. In an office that means a visit on Friday after hours; in a flat, a morning slot.
Dust ground into the pile comes out, as do marks from shoes, coffee, juice and mud, along with surface pet odour. Hair dye, bleach, sun-faded strips and stains somebody has already attacked with household chemicals do not; those usually fix the pigment rather than lift it.
Silk carpets and hand-woven wool, which need dry cleaning at a specialist workshop. Fitted carpets with a jute backing, which shrink when damp. We do not repair mechanical damage: worn pile, burns or pulled loops. We do not lay or remove fitted carpet.
Once a year in a home without pets, twice with them, every six months in an office. More often is not better: every wet clean stresses the fibre, and a carpet cleaned quarterly ages faster than one that is simply vacuumed regularly.
Across the whole of Lodz and the surrounding area: Pabianice, Zgierz, Aleksandrów Łódzki, Konstantynów Łódzki. Travel is included in the price.
The most worn part of any carpet is the strip running from the door into the room. Dirt is trodden deeper there than anywhere else and it needs an extra pass. We do that at the same price, but it is worth mentioning when booking that the place sees heavy traffic.
Light pieces, yes. We do not move heavy ones; we clean the surface around them.
A synthetic one will not. Natural wool can, which is why we do not extract-clean it.
From the pile, yes. If urine has soaked into the underlay, one treatment may not be enough.
