End of tenancy cleaning in Lodz

Cleaning before a move-out differs from ordinary cleaning in one respect: the flat is empty. That looks like an advantage and in practice means more work, because once the furniture has gone everything that was hidden for years is exposed. Marks from wardrobe feet on the panels, dust behind the fridge, stains on the wall behind the sofa.

What the owner checks at handover

• the bathroom: limescale on the fittings, grout, shower glass, the drain
• the kitchen: oven and fridge inside, hood with its filter, greasy fronts
• the windows: streaks and sills
• the walls: hand marks around switches and handles
• the floors and skirting boards

It is those points that decide whether the deposit comes back, not the general impression of tidiness.

What it costs

The base is counted as usual: 184.90 zł for one room, 229.90 zł for two, 274.90 zł for three. On top of that, what the owner looks at: oven 40 zł, fridge 40 zł, hood 40 zł, cupboard interiors 59 zł, windows 40 zł each. A full set for a two-room flat is about 500 zł, clearly less than the typical deposit that would otherwise be in dispute.

What washes off and what is wear

Grease, limescale, dust, hand marks and darkened grout in the splash zone wash off. Scratches in an acrylic bath, chipped enamel, deposits in the micro-scratches of shower glass, worn carpet pile and furniture imprints on panels do not. That is the second category, normal wear, which is not grounds for a deduction from the deposit.

Photos after the visit

When the work is finished the cleaner sends photos of the rooms. At handover that is the simplest proof of the state of the flat on the day you moved out, considerably more effective than verbal assurances a week later.

A flat after years of tenancy

The longer a flat has been let, the more work there is beyond the standard: the bathroom grout, grease on the kitchen fronts, and the bedding and mattress that do not appear in the protocol but which the next tenant will judge from the first night. We clean a single mattress for 70 zł and a double for 140 zł, with a minimum order of 120 zł.

How long it takes

An empty two-room flat with a set of extras is six to eight hours. With that scope we usually send two people, so the job closes on the day you hand over the keys rather than the following one.

When is the best time to book?

After the belongings have gone and before the keys are handed over. In an empty flat we do everything; in a furnished one, only what we can reach.

Do you remove items left in the flat?

No. Removing furniture and rubble is a job for a haulage firm.

Do I have to be present?

No. You can order key collection for 30 zł and return after the visit for another 30 zł.
